Jesrine had heard a lot about projects that DG has been doing in protecting the environment, especially wildlife. He was interested to be involved in conserving and protecting wildlife and that’s why he applied for the job with the MONKEYBAR project and DGFC. The person that strongly influenced him was his own brother. As for protecting animals, Suhairin from Wildlife Rescue Unit (WRU) has strongly influenced his decision to dedicate himself to wildlife protection. Jesrine has been interested in this field since he was younger because he know it is very important to prevent animals from extinction. In Jes’ opinion, by fitting the monkeys with GPS collars, we will know more about their movements in the forest or in the kampung (village) areas. This result will be so important in knowing how macaques can bring the parasites to humans.
