Mohamed Shah Fitri (a.k.a. Koko)
Field Assistant
Koko started working at DGFC in 2015. He is from Batu Puteh. He applied for the job in the beginning as a research assistant, working on the frogs’ project. Koko applied for the job because he had tree climbing skills and the project he applied for was specifically looking for someone with the skill. He has learned a lot since working at DGFC, like identifying birds, making hornbills’ nests, capturing tarsiers and a little bit of tree identification. Koko said he also has improved his English-speaking skill a lot. Koko’s most favourite work is collaring elephants because he loves challenges.
